The bumpy ride going to the famous river is bearable because in my guess, the dirt road is recently flattened (probably because they anticipated increased number of tourists coming since it is the summer season).
We went there on a Saturday morning and the place was jam packed as early as 8:00 AM.
Tip: When you are planning to go there on a weekend, make reservations the prior day because if you don't you will end up settling on wherever is available.
The gang are all smiles and all set to swim. |
Feeling cozy at Enchanted River. |
Water is so clear and clean. So inviting. Dive in! |
We also rent a ferry boat to take us to a cave and a vanishing island. Unfortunately, we are tricked by the boat captain because they brought us to the floating cottage that sells fresh sea foods. When we request to be brought to the cave, the boat captain refused because it will take more than an hour and we will go over the time we paid for.
So we settled for the nearby shore and took advantage of the remaining time to take photos. |
Don't make me mad or you'll get a kick! :) |
Fees (subject to change without prior notice):
Entrance Fee = P30
Table = P150
Life Jacket = P15 per hour (there is penalty for exceeding hours and you need to have to leave an ID before you can borrow)
Ferry boat rental = P140 per hour (good for 5 adults and 1 child)
The river was indeed enchanting but the crowded environment was something I did not enjoy. If you are a nature enthusiast, I suggest you visit the place during the off peak season.
