Guimaras Land Tour
5:12:00 AMOur last day in Iloilo was spent not in Iloilo. lolz!
For the last day of our vacation in the lovely province of Iloilo, we decided to go to the nearby island of Guimaras. It was about 15 minutes boat ride from Ortiz port in Iloilo. It was a Sunday and we thought that the tourism office would be closed. Good thing, the moment we arrived at the Jordan port in Guimaras, we were immediately instructed by some locals to directly get inside the tourism office to register and get assistance.
The tourism officer told us about the rates of their accredited modes of transportation and the places to visit. We decided to take a multicab and immediately started the tour.
Our original plan was supposed to head straight to Alubijod Beach Resort and go island hopping but my companions complained that they already got enough of the island hopping and they were a little sea sick already so we decided to take the land tour.
I can't remember the exact names of the places we visited but it was a good enough tour for me. If only we weren't pressed for time, I would have enjoyed it more. Anyway, below were the highlights of our Guimaras land tour.
HOW TO GET TO GUIMARAS
From our hotel, we rode a jeepney to Ortiz wharf (ask the guard for directions or you can simply ask the jeepney driver if they will pass by Ortiz Wharf). Fare is P6.50
At the Ortiz wharf pay for the ferry boat (ferry boat trip is until 7pm). The boat ride is around 15-10 minutes and you'll reach Jordan wharf. Fare is P14.
