The second part of our Bantayan Island adventure is to do a land tour. With our rented scooters the husband and I, along with my sister go on a short road trip to OMAGIECA Obo-ob Mangrove Park. The road leading to the mangrove park is not cemented so it was difficult for my sister to navigate since it is her first time to drive a scooter. After about 15 minutes ride, we arrived at the park. We paid P50 each for the entrance fee.

There are not so many people there because the park is about to close. Aside from us, there are only another couple who enter the park. It is very ideal to go there before it closes or right after it opens because there will be lesser crowd which means you can take all the time in the world taking pics. It is quite difficult to pose for pics when there are lots of people because the bamboo path that leads you all the way around the mangroves fits one person at a time. Therefore, if you stop to pose for pics, people behind you will need to stop in their tracks and wait for you to finish which is quite a hassle and a bit embarrassing.

Another thing, there is not so much to do in this place aside from following the path from the entrance to the exit. The only scenery you'll see in this place is the mangroves and the water beneath it. We have not seen any animals apart from the rats that are playing on the roots of the mangrove trees.

In my opinion, if you do not have time to spare while you are in Bantayan Island, I suggest skip this place as there is nothing really special about it aside from the mangrove trees itself. But if you want to take pics of the Camp Sawi and Camp Wagi signage, then give this place a visit.
