Day One of our Surigao del Sur 3-Day Escapade.

We traveled from Davao to Tagbina [where we stayed] for 4 hours straight. After an hour of rest and breakfast, we headed for San Agustin, Davao Del Sur to reach the talked about Britania Islands.

After an hour of constant asking of directions, we reached Britania. (If you have "sea sickness" when traveling, be sure to be ready for lots of "zigzaggy" road turns, the likes of a chicken intestine.)

Some of the many islets in Britania. Such a sight to behold!

For a budget conscious like me and my peers, we haggled for the price of the boat ride. They charged us for Php1,500 but we were able to close the deal for $1,200. We tried to bring it down to 1K but they did not budge so we gave in. Php300 is a good bargain anyway.

This was my first Island Hopping experience and it was worth my Php120.00 (P1,200 plus cost for food was divided into 13 pax).

On my way to our boat!!

Hiyor-Hiyoran Island from afar.

1st Stop: HAGONOY ISLAND
The first stop of the island hopping, the Hagonoy Island. According to their municipal tourism office, this island is coined as the lover's island, a perfect romantic getaway and venue for honeymoon and prenuptial pictorials.

Second stop, Naked Island. It's literally naked because it is basically a stretch of pure powdery white sands lying idle and naked in the middle of bluish green waters. It was high tide during our tour that is why we were only able to see a part of the island.
2nd stop: Naked Island. Since the tide is high, only a part of the island appeared. This is the only part where it is not crowded.

Third stop, Hiyor-hiyoran Island. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling and picture taking! The island has nice rock formations on one side and on the other side is a luscious greens and beautiful water. Plus coconut trees are abundant!
3rd stop: Hiyor-hiyoran Island. Here we stayed for few hours to eat our lunch and enjoy the water.

Kiss and make up. Misunderstandings before we went into the island hopping but all is well in love.

Sweet pictures with hubby after a petty quarrel at the beginning of the island hopping.

3rd Stop: Boslon Island.
Final stop, Boslon Island. The island is not a very big island and you can easily go around the whole island on foot during low tide.

The island have nice small caves, beautiful rock formations and green trees all around.
Crystal clear waters are so inviting!

Rock formations at Boslon Island.

The BONUS!!! Cupcake-like islands in front of Boslon Island.

The bonus, twin cupcake-like islands facing Boslon Island that you can reach on foot on a low tide.
That's me and hubby walking back from our short walk to one of the twin islands.
It's truly MORE FUN IN OUR BEAUTIFUL PHILIPPINES especially when you travel with family and friends!!!
