It was a year ago when I stumbled on Cebu Pacific’s Piso Fare promo. I booked the five of us (Chona, Doris, John, Jeff, and myself) tickets to Cebu. It was actually out of the blue decision to set a five day vacation on March 2014.

And so after a year of (little) preparation, my friends and I finally flew to Cebu. It was their (Doris, John, and Jeff’s) first time to board an airplane. It was really funny because the three of them wanted to sit beside the window (very typical).
On board going to Cebu (That BIG first timer smile)

We spent our whole Cebu stay at Robe’s Pension House which actually turned out to be an ideal choice for all of us because the place is not very far from the city center or the pier. The place was clean and comfortable considering the cheap rates. The rooms we booked were air-conditioned with clean bathrooms, cable TV, and (of course) free wifi!

Traffic was a little bad on our first night. Travel time from the Mactan Airport going to our pension house took almost an hour and a half. So when we arrived at Robe’s we were all starving to death because it was already around 9:30 pm.

FINDING LARSIANS. Our first exhausting Cebu City night excursion was to find Larsians. Larsians was a barbeque place I heard from my brother who used to work at a call center in Cebu. Larsians was the equivalent of the “Hudyakaan of Davao” (happening during Araw ng Dabaw and Kadayawan). Getting there was the funniest and most bizarre experience I’ve had so far. The funniest because we almost got lost while traveling. Bizarre because the PUJ drivers that we encountered seemed to be either drunk or high (?). They weren’t the best guide and they didn’t really help us get to where we were supposed to go. Good thing there were hospitable passengers who gave us directions.

And because of our unfortunate experience we were able to eat dinner at 11:00 pm (we were already fantasizing on eating the tindero and tindera (vendors) at Larsians.

The following day, we woke up early so we can catch an early trip to Bohol via Fast Craft (Ocean Jet). Read about our Bohol trip here Welcome Home Bol-anon!!!

After our two days and two nights stay in Bohol, we went back to Cebu to enjoy the rest of our vacation.

After a tiring stroll and lots of picture taking at Fort San Pedro, we went to Tabo-an to buy pasalubog!!! I only bought dried mangoes (my favorite) because that's the only Cebu delicacy that I really really love!

After Tabo-an we went to SM Cebu to chill and refresh. Sadly, we got stressed because there were a lot of people at the mall!

Then come Monday morning we packed our bags and head back home to our beloved Davao!!

Time to go home!
It was a truly worthwhile experience and definitely something worth a REPEAT!!!
